After a season of turmoil that led to local boy done good & club legend Jonny Arr being appointed Head Coach, Worcester RFC have now publicly announced their new assistant coach as Aleki Lutui - the former Tongan rugby union international player. Aleki joins from Ampthill in RFU Championship & is already helping Jonny prepare for preseason on 28th June.

Commenting on his appointment Aleki said “I’m delighted to be joining the Worcester coaching staff. The opportunity to come here and help my former teammate Jonny to develop the players we have is something I'm really looking forward to. We want to try bring the boys together so there’s want and desire to be involved in training and to represent this club. I can't wait to get going this Summer with a pre-season as we build towards the start of the 2022/23 campaign”

Club Chairman Steve Lloyd said “It's exciting times at Worcester RFC as we are delighted to welcome Aleki Lutui to our coaching set up. His massive wealth of knowledge and experience can only be a huge asset to the club. He joins Jonny Arr's coaching team in what is a powerhouse of premiership know how. It’s very exciting to see how the preseason will develop and as the teams start to shape up for the new season. Malo e lelei and Talitali fiefia Aleki!”

With the new season providing a new challenge by the way of the revamped RFU leagues we are looking at our hugely experienced coaching team to prepare our players to give the best account of ourselves we can. If you are interested in playing at Worcester RFC and benefiting from the coaching of these two former professionals, then please get in touch via our club website or social media handles.
