4. Donate and Target Updates
As Covid19 takes a long hold on the world and of course rugby, the club has decided, with no tours going on for the foreseeable future, to focus all teams on improving our facilities.
Although blessed with 4 pitches and a large training area, only 2 of the pitches are lit. With the addition of a Mixed Ability team, a gay inclusive team, the return of the women's team and the growth in numbers of vets and 3rds as well as the M&J section we are rapidly running out of space during the Winter months.
Therefore the club committee has decided to focus fundraising efforts on raising approx £50,000 to fund some more floodlights which would cover the training area next to pitches 1 & 2.
Club Chairman Steven Lloyd said "We are out there looking for grants but we will need to fund some of this ourselves. If you have any ideas, if you want to put on an event or do something, put it together, make a plan and come see us!"
We are looking to appoint a fundraising team to spearhead the drive for funds and welcome any involvement and ideas of how to bring in some funds. If you're interested in joining the Floodlight Fundraisers, please speak to a member of the committee.
