Dear Members, Players, Parents and Friends

Please see below a statement from Steve Lloyd in respect to the Worcester Warriors announcement today.

This is a developing story and, no doubt, Steve will have more to say in the coming weeks.

Statement from Steve Lloyd, Chair, WRFC

25 April 2024

Worcester Warriors

‘Worcester RFC welcomes the announcement today by Loxwood Holdings on the future of the Worcester Warriors.

After many months of uncertainty, the decision by Loxwood Holdings represents a vital step to restoring elite level rugby in the City and re-establishing the Sixways Stadium as a major sporting venue.

Worcester is a proud rugby City with a fantastic group of supporters and Sixways is an important asset for the area.

Worcester RFC hopes the community will now get behind these plans which, WRFC believes, offer a credible prospect of returning professional rugby to Sixways.

For the last 18 months Worcester RFC has been working hard behind the scenes with the Rugby Authorities and business interests to keep the prospect of professional rugby, in Worcester, alive.

We now have reasons to be hopeful and we stand ready to help the Loxwood team put Worcester back on the professional rugby map.’

Steve Lloyd

Chair
