Worcester RFC is delighted to announce a new Third XV Team Manager. From today Bruce Canty will take over leadership of the foremost social side in the club.

Director of Rugby, Niall Crawford said "Bruce's love of craft beer makes him the ideal person to lead our 3rds to new heights. Although he'll have his work cut-out keeping Gorey and Butts under control." Steve Lloyd, Club Chair, was quoted "Bruce is the right person to lead this ragtag bunch of reprobates. We'll know he's succeeded when he gets Charlie Prince to run straight".

An inside source revealed that the club was prepared to do whatever was required to secure Canty. It's believed that Bruce rejected the clubs initial signing on fee of a bag of Wotsits. Canty negotiated hard for a bag of Tomato Snaps and a couple of pints from the coaches.

Worcester's 3rd XV have now rebranded as "Canty's Barmy Army", although that could be a typo.
