Thanks to the huge efforts of everyone involved, they have gone.

The club is still a no go area until we have accessed and logged all of the damage.

The site is now secure so please do not try to enter.

We thank you all for your support and patients.

A few more pictures for you

Update 09/07/2021 2:30 pm

We have inspected the site this morning and thankfully much of the damage appears to be superficial.  Inspection work will go on over the weekend. The Clubhouse and our storage area has not been entered.  We expect to be open for the NHS blood service on Tuesday and back to normal by next weekend.

Action has been taken to secure the site and we have given the go-ahead for the installation of additional measures to make illegal access more difficult. Access to our Cummins pitches are also receiving attention.

The site clean-up job is being handled by a few club staff and volenteers.  Whilst we are grateful for the many offers of help, the clean-up job is not for the faint hearted and we need to limit the number of people involved to around 10.  The priority will be the safety and welfare of our staff and volunteers and we need to be prepared for more than just human poo! Work starts at 10.00 tomorrow.

Pitches one and two look a mess but will hopefully recover with tender loving care.  The pitches will, however, be out of action for some time.

Acting quickly and limiting occupation to a couple of days has undoubtedly reduced the amount of damage and mess.  It also means our external bookings and income should be unaffected.

Finally, a number of individuals have gone beyond the call of duty to deal with the issue and aftermath.  The Warriors have also been very supportive.  We will thank them properly in due course.
