WRFC 1st TEAM SQUAD MEMBERS
The first team will play their first home fixture this weekend the 17th of September against Droitwich. We have had two away wins in a row and hope to bring the level of performance back to Worcester for people to support us in a key local derby.
The majority of the players will be well known to most, Andy Reid, James Swain, Harry Linney, Will Carroll to name a few, players who have given great service to the Club over a number of years. Players who are enjoying their rugby under new Head Coach Jonny Arr. There is a definite buzz around the club, a feeling of purpose and engagement from the playing body.
It will also be a season that will see some of our own Colts making appearances in the senior teams, Ben Amos and George Cunliffe have already played, Jack Lyman is training hard and recovering from injury, but has a part to play before too long. Jo Amos is in to his second year of playing first team, combining it with his time at university. All will make an impact and we hope we are seeing a long line of homegrown players to push in to the senior squads.
We had 2 sets of brothers on the pitch last week, with George and James Mann playing at the same time as the Amos Brothers. George had a breakthrough season last year being an ever present in the first team, and his brother has the ability to do the same this year.
For those who come to watch our games, you may see some faces you are not familiar with, these are players new to the senior section at the club, but some do have a connection to the club as they played through our Mini Junior section. Although selection is not confirmed for the match on Saturday I would like to introduce to you 4 players who are new to us this season and have already made impacts in the games we have played so far.

Ben Williams
Ben is 18 a young Prop with a great future in the game. He has just completed his A Levels at Kings School Worcester. He started playing club rugby at Worcester when I was 11.
He played club rugby alongside his school rugby till he was 15. At 15 he started playing in warriors academy.
He will only be with us for a short while as he has a great rugby adventure ahead of by traveling Australia to play for the Sydney team ‘the northern suburbs’.
Afe Haisila Lokotui
Afe is a centre and brings a wealth of playing experience with him. He was born in Melbourne Australia and has represented Tonga at U20 age group.
Part of his rugby journey also saw him play for Melbourne rebels at U20 level. He has played at some well known clubs across the midlands including a spell at the Warriors, Birmingham Moseley and Stourbridge.
