Dear members, parents, players and friends

We are building a Grandstand!

We are about to embark on the next stage in the development of the WRFC ground.

The initiative, which is being led by the Vice Presidents and Past Presidents, will see a 67-seater stand with a wheelchair bay installed adjacent to pitch 1 and the Changing rooms during the Summer.

The £30,000 cost of the stand is being primarily met by the 100 Club, fund raising and the sale of season long seat tickets to members in a designated members area. Details will follow in due course.

Throughout 2023 we will be working hard to raise funds and will be looking to all teams, members and parents to play their part in this exciting project.

As well as keeping members and supporters cosy on wet and windy days the stand will enable WRFC to host regional rugby events and festivals bringing in vital income for rugby across all age groups and teams.

The stand will also open up new sponsorship and advertising opportunities and we have already had some expressions of interest from local businesses keen to support the new stand. If you, or someone you know, might be interested please get in touch.

And finally, we are also looking for some help with the enabling works so if you are involved in the construction trade or have skills or knowledge that might help and you would be prepared to give your time we want to hear from you.
