Dear Members, Supports and Friends.

Please be assured that we are aware of the illegal occupation of our playing fields and the damage and vandalism already done.

We are urgently dealing with this situation in the proper manor with the assistance of the police and our solicitors. Please do not consider any independent or direct action.

We will provide updates as and when we can.

We know already that we will need a clear-up party when we finally get them out.

Thank you for your support.

Update 07/07/2021 12:00

Thank you all for staying away.

Following revised Police thinking, we returned to the club last evening with the Police to instruct the travellers to leave immediately. This allowed the Police to start a process and as part of this, we have engaged specialist bailiffs.

Further action will be taken today.  We must stay away.

We are planning our next steps for after we have our club back.

Please stay away from the club until we put out our call for volunteers.

We will keep you posted.

Update 08/07/2021 12:00

We are making good progress. Assuming all the travellers leave the our club today, our plan is to keep the site closed to allow a team from the club to assess the damage etc. and what needs to be done. This also includes securing the site both immediately and for the longer term. For the moment we have the team in place ready to go and the many offers of help are much appreciated.

The site will not be safe for members and the team will decide when it re-opens.  Members are asked to continue to stay away for now.

Plans are afoot to mitigate the effects of this situation on our scheduled activities. Please keep alert to your normal communication channels for updates.

We will continue to keep you posted.
