Worcester Girls Under 18’s v Old Hales
What a fantastic end to what can only be described as the strangest rugby season in recent history.
An air of excitement was abundant before tonight’s fixture as both teams looked forward to their very first evening game under the lights. It was the deciding game as it was one win each from the previous two games played in recent weeks.
Spectators, now allowed, only added to the excitement and there was plenty to keep the spectators entertained as both teams put out an amazing performance. After the first two quarters, Worcester were just in front on the score board but unfortunately the second two quarters didn’t go Worcester’s way and Old Hales finished the evening and the season as winners.

But the girls all had a fantastic evening and continued to enjoy themselves off the pitch as they sat round eating curry and chatting with their team mates and their Old Hales mates. What rugby is all about.
The evening was also tinged with sadness as it was the last game some of ours and Old Hales Girls will be playing for the under 18’s, as from next season they move to a womens team. Good luck to all of our senior 18’s, Amy, Grace, Lara, Lauren and Lola D, who have an exciting future ahead of them.
But we can’t finish the season without saying thank you to our fantastic coaches, Beth, Steve and Tom, Our first aiders, Carla, Helen, Ian and Martin, Benny for refereeing last nights game, the 3rd team for their support and encouragement last night and the club for all the help and advice they have given us over the last season.
Roll on next season and lets hope it’s a bit more ‘normal’.
