Message from Steve Lloyd regarding the Worcester Warriors

Dear Members, Players and Parents

As a former Warriors player I, like many, are concerned about the plight of our professional neighbours and, for the sake of fans, players and staff hope for a swift and positive resolution.

Our own plans for Worcester RFC and rugby will be unaffected by any changes at the Warriors.  We do not have any financial links with them and would expect to see the important mutual arrangements for access to Cummins, Sunday parking and the shared use of pitches to continue with any new owners.  We, with the support of our advisers, are keeping a close eye on developments and are ready to talk to the Warriors at any time.

Looking to the new season, which starts next month, our 900 members, players, and, of course, countless parents (thank you!) can continue to enjoy some great amateur rugby and fantastic facilities at our Oferton Lane ground and Cummins pitches.

We look forward to seeing you in September!

Steve Lloyd
