On a cool January afternoon, Worcester under 16s girls took on Stafford in a friendly fixture with both teams having important National Cup games in mind.

The pitch was in good shape after the recent wet weather. This fixture usually produces some good hard rugby and the game did not disappoint.

Stafford started the scoring with an unconverted try only for Worcester to hit back with a converted try of their own. Stafford then took a 17-7 lead mid way through the first half only for Worcester to press again and by halftime managed to gain a slight advantage.

Half time 21 -17

Coaches advised to get the ball wide and in a tight second half, Worcester did eventually come away with a nail biteing win

Final Score 31 - 24

A hard earned win, the coaches again noticed areas that need to improve as we go into the cup weekend.

Must mention our manager who could not make the match today, your daughter scored a stunning try but it is on video for you to watch.

Thanks to the coaches Matt and Matt, Sir Dan the ref, First Aiders Sanatizer Sam and Antiseptic Andy, parents for helping with flags and Jakey for all his help.

It's the big cup match at home against Mansfield next Sunday all supporters will be very much appreciated by the team so bring your partners, Gran and Grandads, Aunt's. Uncles, cousins. 2nd cousin, next door neighbours , bloke down the pub, dogs everyone to cheer the team on.
