On a wet. muddy and cool Mothers Day afternoon on pitch 3 at Worcester RFU,  Worcester under 16s girls took on Solihull Vixens under 16s .

In a hard fought contest throughout, there was plenty of good rugby played by both teams in very testing conditions, if this was Cheltenham races the going would be described as heavy.

Worcester scored the first try and led 7 - 0 but Solihull with their powerful running game came back and took command and went into a 17 -7 lead. Just before half time Worcester scored leaving the half time score 17 -12

Worcester started brightly in the second half with some good play and managed to get back into the lead 22-17 but then it seemed  that the pitch conditions got the better of them and they started to slow down, Solihull used their power runners and good running lines to score  a further x  two tries. The final score being Worcester 22 Solihull 31.

It was a good effort by both sides in difficult conditions.

Thanks to the coaches DJ Pete, Big Matt, Flagman Matt, the big boss Lady / Admin Lady Liz, first aiders Sanatizer Sam who would like to thank Anna for the use of her Pink and Black robe, (rumour has it he went home to watch the Oscars to support the Barbie film), Hans Kristian Anderson and the Marker Post Man.

Thanks to the Parents/Guardians for bringing the players and to the mums who rather spend their Mothers Day in inches of mud cheering on the team than having a lovely Roast Dinner.

Well done to May for getting Worcester's player of the match chosen by the Solihull team.

Finally congratulations to the under 18s girls for reaching the semi final of the Nationsl Cup.
