Worcester U16 Girls V Mansfield U16 Girls

A pleasant, sunny afternoon in February awaited the two teams in the National Cup played on pitch 2 at Worcester.

The game started as a few games have done with Worcester this season very slowly and Worcester after 25 mins found themselves 15 -0 down. Worcester however did cross the line and at the break were 15-5 behind.

Worcester tried hard and improved in the 2nd half and pegged back Mansfield to 15 -12 but with the last play of the game Mansfield scored a try and came away with a 20 - 12 victory. Worcester tried hard but overall Mansfield were the better team. Disappointing but the players will learn a lot from the game.

Thanks to the coaches for all their hard work, to our amazing manager, first aider Sam and Andy, thanks to the referee and also the photographer. Thanks to all the parents, guardians and supporters
