Stafford u15 girls v Worcester U15s girls

On a pleasant afternoon in Stafford, the Worcester under 15s girls played the reverse fixture with Stafford under 15s girls. This was a different game from the one 7 days ago, Stafford turned up and showed business from the off.

With both teams starting strongly and Worcester having the territorial advantage they could not find a way through a tight Stafford defense.

Ill discipline by Worcester gave Stafford an extra 20 metres and they exploited this with a try.

Half time Stafford 5 -0 Worcester

Coach Kim gave a couple of areas to improve in the second half, however, from the kick off an awkward bouncing ball Stafford managed a second score.

Worcester started to put some good attacks together and finally made a break through with a lovely team try, the conversion was added and Worcester were back in the game.

Again Worcester made advances into the Stafford half but a good break on the right from Stafford they scored again in the corner

The second half had 3 yellow cards 1 x Worcester and 2 x Stafford.

Final score Stafford 15 -7 Worcester

The coach was happy in the post match interview and advised it was a competitive game and the score did not reflect the game

We needed to move forward with the ball and not just pass the ball down the line, we also must learn when to off load out of the tackle and when to take the ball to ground.

Thanks to the first Aiders and supporters who attended.

A big thank you to the Coach Kim for coaching today and of couse our excellent Manager. Thank you to Stafford for their hospitality and they would like to play us again.

P S thank you to the mums who came to see the game  and Happy Mothers day from the players.
