It was a cool but sunny Sunday afternoon that saw our girls turn up with excitement for our second pool game of the National Cup Competition. After winning our first pool game against Barkers Butts, we needed to win this one to secure our place in the next round. Once again, we continued to play with the girls from the Shrosphire Cluster who have fast become a strong team, good mates and feel part of each others teams.

In all honesty, there isn’t really much to say other than the fact that we only went and won.

The girls were amazing. They worked as a well drilled team right from the kick off.

They all contributed enormously to the game and helped to secure a convincing win of 47 -5.

Thank you to Old Hales who made us work hard for the win but our girls rose to the challenge and showed how good girls rugby really is.

The game was stopped early due to injury and we send our best wishes to the injured playing, wishing her a speedy recovery.

The coaches, managers, first aiders, parents and the club are immensely proud of the girls and are really looking forward to the next round in the new year.

Thanks to Tom, Steve H, Danny, Alison, Steve, Hattie and James who all played a huge part in ensuring the girls were ready and supported them on the day. I'm sure the corned beef pasties made a difference!
