Dear Members, Players and Parents

I know everyone will have been sadden by the news that the Warriors have, this evening, been suspended from all competitions after failing to meet a funding ultimatum set by the Rugby Football Union.

We can only hope that buyers are found quickly, and the Warriors can resume their rightful place in the Premiership. Our thoughts go out to the players, staff and fans at this difficult time.

I have already been in touch and reiterated that we will help in any way we can. I am aware there has already been a suggestion the players will be training at Weston’s. This has yet to be confirmed but I am sure if we are asked we will do everything we can to help the players stay fit and match ready.

As a gesture of support we are inviting the Warriors' players, coaches and their families to join us, as our guests, this Saturday for our derby game against Evesham RFC – KO 3.00pm. It is the least we can do and I am sure everyone at WRFC will give the Warriors a very warm welcome.

If there are any developments I will of course let you know.

Steve Lloyd
