Historically we have lost contact with an essential group of players. Many of our players, who have played throughout our age grades and colts teams, choose to go to university or join the armed services. Historically we have lost contact with this critical group of players. That is about to change.

This group of players are key to the future success of our club. We must keep engaged with these players and encourage them to come along to train or play whilst home on leave.

We are pleased to announce two initiatives to increase player retention in this vital age range.

Free University Membership

University Membership is open to all of our former players who are away at university or have joined the armed services. It is free of charge for the duration of your course. Please see our website for more information or contact Tim Cunliffe, WRFC Membership Secretary, timcunliffe@gmail.com.

Under 23 team

In addition to encouraging the players to train and play with our senior men's and Women's teams, we will form Under 23 team's. There will be several fixtures each season, the fixtures and training will be scheduled around pre-season, Christmas and Easter. This will enable players to catch up and play with their former teammates in a fun environment.

We want you to be part of these exciting new teams. Please contact Chris Gore at chrisgore17@gmail.com or Jim O'Toole at jim@sportsinterim.com for more information.
