Tamworth Girls U18’s v Worcester Girls U18’s

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon in Tamworth that saw the spectators remove their padded winter coats as we all watched a fantastic game of rugby (along with all the flying spiders 🕷, if you were there, you’ll know!😳🤣)

Just before kick off both teams lined up opposite each other and held a minutes silence for Remembrance Sunday.

Right from the kick off our girls gelled as a team and supported each other as they dominated the first half against a well drilled Tamworth. Scrums were solid with us pushing Tamworth back time after time. Tackling was fast and furious. Our line outs worked and our rucking and mauling meant we kept winning the ball.

By half time we were winning 0-22.

At Half time Tamworth’s coach came over and shared their oranges 🍊 with our girls.

The second half began with Tamworth taking us by surprise and scoring a couple of trys followed by conversions fairly quickly. Our girls soon regrouped and fought back to once again get back into the game with more great team work which came to fruition as the final whistle blew and Worcester had won.

Final score

Tamworth 14 - Worcester 40

A well deserved win. The girls worked as a team and all of them put in a full shift, putting into practice everything they had learned in training over the last few weeks.

A big thank you to the girls, their coaches, our first aiders, the ref and to Tamworth for their fantastic hospitality.

A great afternoon had by all.
