Everyone shares the responsibility for safeguarding and creating safe environments in rugby union whether as a parent, coach, spectator or club official.

All should operate within an accepted ethical framework and demonstrate exemplary behaviour to both safeguard children and protect all personnel from allegations of abuse or poor practice.

Children, which is anyone under the age of 18, must be cared for in the correct manner, as set out in the RFU Safeguarding Policy.

The safety of all children and young adults is essential at Worcester RFC. The club takes safeguarding very seriously. The role of the Safeguarding Officer is to provide leadership in safeguarding children within the club, maintaining a supportive and positive environment in which children can play rugby safely and ensuring that members understand the RFU Codes of Conduct and Core Values.

Within the roles, he carried out, he undertook work across the spheres of Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults.  Within the Club, he has been a coach and team manager.
