  • Tickets: £25, including pie and mash
  • Bar open all evening
  • Charity auction and raffle, with items signed by Doddie himself, day experiences, AirPods and more

Doddie, Ben and Worcester RFC

Doddie Weir won 61 caps for Scotland and toured with the 1997 British & Irish Lions. After his MND diagnosis he set up the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation in 2017, and faced the disease with humour and courage until he passed in 2022, aged 52. Along the way, he put MND in the spotlight like never before.

That legacy now has a home at our club. Doddie's son Ben Weir has recently started playing for Worcester RFC and is closely connected to this event, and we're proud to welcome him into the Worcester RFC family.

The Foundation has now committed £24 million to MND research, including £4 million to its MND Discovery Network, and campaigned alongside other charities for a £50 million UK Government commitment to MND research.
