Worcester RFC are proud to announce a new partnership with The Worcestershire Black Knights, the county’s very own American Football team.

When sport recommences, the team will relocate from Perdiswell to Weston’s Fields as Worcester RFC makes it’s first significant step in becoming a sporting hub for the county & local community.

After enjoying significant growth in terms of playing numbers & teams in the last few seasons, Worcester RFC now welcomes players & coaches from a different sport to train, play & socialise at our superb community facility.

Training year round but playing their season in the Summer, when the rugby season is over, makes sense for all parties to utilise the facilities the club has worked hard to provide.

James Styles from The Worcestershire Black Knights said “"It is our firm hope that moving to WRFC will allow the Black Knights development to continue. The synergy between Rugby and Football is strong and in time player crossover could be key to a successful partnership. Moving to Worcester RFC also provides the club with a home, rather than just a facility, and we look forward to getting involved with club events, making full use of the fantastic facilities on offer and establishing the Black Knights presence as a successful long term partnership."

& George Gidlow, Wide Receiver #9 / Players Representative added “I cannot wait to get back to playing football again. To have somewhere new to play and train as well just makes it even more exciting! “

And Worcester RFC Chairman Stephen Lloyd added “It's fantastic news to be welcoming The Worcestershire Black Knights to the family. Diversity is a wonderful thing and we are very much looking forward to seeing them play and socialise at our club. Finally, there is a home in Worcester for them and we are excited by the future we can share together!"

Training will take place on Sundays 10am-1pm & anyone interested in joining the Knights should contact Edd Purslow on secretary@worcestershireblackknights.co.uk .
