On a "slightly damp" Sunday afternoon in Mid December, Worcester under 16s girls took to the road to visit Barkes Butts in Coventry in the last group match of the National Cup Midland division.

Parents and Guardians had to plough through floods and torrential rain on the way to the match and on arrival there was "Noah" not building an ark but with a broom and fork trying to disperse the standing water on the pitch. A decision was made too move from the standing water pitch to the mud bath pitch.

The game did not start well as within a minute Barkers scored their first try with the conversion being successful Worcester were 7 -0 down. Barkers then scored regularly during the first half and half time came with Barkers 33 - 0 up.

The second half started and Barker never relaxed and when the score reached 52 - 0 the ref called a halt.

It was a hard day's work for Worcester but they never gave up  there was some good individual performances. With just the fun training session to come next Sunday the coaches and players can start again in the New Year.

A big thank you to coaches D J Pete, Matt, Flagman Matt and Lils. Our manager who completed her Bush Tucker Trial today. Our first Aiders, Sanatizer Sam, Hans Kristian Anderson and Sophie and all the parents and guardians for the support on bringing the players to the match, lastly the players for never giving up.

Good luck to Barkers Butts in the next round of the cup.

The admin team wish you all a peaceful holiday season and reports will start again in the New Year.
