We have just learned that a respected former Mini Junior Coach, Andy Martin, has suddenly passed away.

A Former Editor the Worcester News, Andy coached at the club through age groups Under 8s to Under 17s. His age group were very successful and led to an extremely good Colts team. Many of those players coached by Andy went on to play at Senior level and firmed the nucleus of the embryonic Wanderers.

Both of his Sons, Nicholas and Adam, played at the Club and Adam went onto play Scrum Half for Worcester 1st XV.

Andy was a thoughtful individual, humorous and generous. He didn’t shout and yell at his players, he always tempered the critical with positivity. More often a listener than a talker, when he did at something it was measured and worth listening to.

Although he moved away to North Wales his heart was still with Worcester and his passing with resonate with the many at the Club whose lives he touched and influenced.
