Midlands under 16s girls pool 2 Match

Worcester under 16s girls made the long journey to Ampthill in Bedfordshire to play the final group game in the Midlands under 16s girls Pool 2

We had all seasons in one day weatherwise, driving rain, windy and bright sunshine.

Worcester made a slow start and the first 10 mins was an arm wrestle on a sandy surface. Eventually Worcester started to take control and a fine run and an even better interception try gave the side a 14 - 0 lead. Further tries were scored and Worcester went into half time with a healthy 33 - 0 lead, however Coach Pete was not overall impressed and demanded more effort and to up the intensity in the 2nd half

The 2nd half started and within 3 minutes Ampthill scored their try, but this spurred Worcester on and in a dominent 2nd half the team added another 35 points. The game finished with a 68 -5 score line to Worcester.

A pretty good performance overall but the coaches have noticed a few areas to be improved on if we are to progress further in the competition.

All eyes and ears went over to the other game in the Pool. Once the final scores were in, Worcester had topped the pool.

A big thanks to the coaches. Pete. Matt and Matt, our excellent and excited Manager Liz, our first Aider Sanatizer Sam, the ref who stood in at short notice and a massive thank you to parents/ guardians for bringing the players to the match
