We are pleased to confirm that Allan Powell has been awarded Honorary Life Membership of Worcester Rugby Club in recognition of almost 50 years of commitment and support to the club.

Over those years he has served as a player, a M&J Coach, Colts Manager, Development Team Manager, Under 21s Manager, Chairman of House & Ground, President, Chairman, Vice Chairman &in recent years Chairman of House and Ground again. Allan’s wife Sheila has supported him in all the roles that he has performed for us over the years & his children have been integrally involved in the club too. We look forward to celebrating with Allan & Sheila, in the clubhouse when circumstances permit.

Allan's reaction to the news;

"As you and any Welshman knows, we will for life ,support rugby, anywhere and anyhow, it is a great sport that is for all
to enjoy no matter who you are.

I have been lucky to have been involved in rugby from primary school through grammer and Loughor RFC and on to be a proud member of Worcester RFC which I joined in 1971.

The club has been good for my family not just welcoming my sons & daughter but many of the 250 or so children we fostered,
it has been a pleasure to give back something in return.

Thank you for this great honour & for welcoming me and mine to be part of the Worcester Rugby Club family.

Only one thing remains, we will have to PARTY!

Regards,

Powelly"
