On a warm early October Sunday afternoon in Worcester the Worcester under 16s girls took on Stafford under 16s girls in their first match of the season. The coaches decided the match will be 4 x 17 minute quarters.

As like last season Worcester started very slowly and were soon a try down as Stafford intercepted a pass to score. Stafford followed this up with a couple of further tries. After the first quarter and going into the second Worcester were 17- 0 down.

Worcester needed a response and slowly they began to chip away at the score. The girls started to play some good rugby and starting the 3rd quarter managed to get their noses in front 19 -17.

The final quarter ebbed and flowed but Worcester produced a good team try and the final score was Worcester 26 Stafford 17

Not sure what music Coach Pete was listening to but it must have been Frank Sinatras best come back album.

Thanks go to the coaches Lead Coach Pete  Coach Matt, Coach Matt and thanks Matt for running the line. Thanks to our Worcester Warrior ref Lils, our long suffering Manager liz, first aiders Sanatizer Sam and Hans Kristian Anderson our story teller.

Thanks to all Parents, Grandparents and Guardians for their support. It is appreciated by the team.

The girls wish Katie a speedy recovery from her serious shoulder injury also to Lily May and Jaz who had to come off early.

A good start to the season. Good game time had by a lot of the players. There are things the coaches will be working on but they seemed pleased with the way the team came back and some of the play.
