On a warm. breezy late September afternoon on the Weston pitches in Worcester,

the Worcester girls rugby section put on a training / taster day for players and new players trying rugby for the first time.

We had 8 players from the Worcester Warriors ladies first team who gave up their Sundays and took the training sessions with the age range coaches.

After the warm up both the Under 16s and under 14s / under 12s did various skills sessions in their age groups and by the looks of the smiles on the players coming off the pitch I think it went very well.

A delicious BBQ was provided to the players and coaches and then the players settled down to watch the Worcester RFU ladies take on Sale. The players making a tunnel for the Worcester Ladies to walk onto the pitch.

We now have a lot of people to thank.

Thank you to all the Worcester age grade coaches, the Worcester Warriors players, Stef, Taz,Lily,Izzy,Catherine,Claudia,Tori, and Sophie, the BBQ team,  our manager Liz and her team, Sanatizer Sam and Kristian ( nickname to follow on first match report).

Well the season really starts next week with the Under 16s girls v Stafford, the players would appreciate all parents and guardians to get down to the Weston pitches and give the players a cheer.
